  • Cleansing with cold milk: Dip cotton in cold milk and cleanse your face with it.
  • Oatmeal bath:  Blend 2 cup of dry oatmeal (use plain instant, quick oats, or slow cooking oats) in a food processor or blender until you have a fine powder. Scatter the mixture into a tub of lukewarm water. Swirl with your hand a few times for even distribution. Take bath with this water.
  • Milk, Honey & Almond oil bath: Add 2 tablespoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of powdered milk and 1/2 tablespoon of almond oil to your lukewarm to warm (not hot) bath water.

  • Sugar scrub: Mix 2 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon finely ground coffee, 1 tablespoon of olive/ almond oil (if your skin is not acne prone) or jajoba/ argan oil (if your skin is acne prone). Mix it for 1-2 mins so that the sugar gets slightly melted. Dampen the skin with water, and scrub gently in circular motions.You can also keep this on for 5 mins after scrubbing before finally washing off with lukewarm water. 

When choosing ready-made face packs always go in for packs that have oats as the base. Additionally you can opt for ingredients like shea butter, papaya, milk etc.

  • Oatmeal & honey pack: Mix equal quantities of both oatmeal and honey together.
    Apply it on your dry skin. Let it dry for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Milk cream as a pack: Mix milk cream to three to four tablespoons of gram flour/ wheat flour (whichever suits you) to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on your face, hands and legs. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. 
  • Avocado & honey: Mix mashed avocado and honey in equal proportions and blend them into a consistent paste. Apply it for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Apricots & Olive oil mask: Warm little olive oil, not too hot, you don’t want fried skin. Mash 2 apricots and mix them with enough of the olive oil to make a paste. Apply it on your dry skin, lie down and leave it for 10 minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water.
  • Avocado, Banana & Papaya mask: Mash 1 ripe fresh avocado, 1 ripe Banana and 1/2 Papaya. Mix these fruits into a nice paste and apply it on your dry skin. Let it dry for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
  • Egg yolk, Milk powder & Honey mask: Make a paste of 1 egg yolk, milk powder and dark organic honey. Apply this paste and let it dry for 10-15 minutes.Then wash it off with lukewarm water.
